Cancer Journeys Foundation Strava.com Group

I love cycling because it makes me feel great and it helps me keep fit and my weight in check.

But cycling also serves a charity purpose. Some of you know that I’m a prostate cancer survivor. I’ve been advocating for prostate cancer early detection and testing since my own diagnosis and treatment in 2003.

I always wear one version or another of our cycling jerseys with our prostate cancer awareness messages. [Men can sign up for our free, anonymous prostate cancer early detection system at ProstateTracker.org. ProstateTracker uses the simple PSA blood test to create a visual map of prostate cancer risk year-to-year.]

I live in Manhattan Beach, California, on the west side of Los Angeles, and my normal road route is south from Manhattan Beach, up and over Palos Verdes Peninsula, and back to Manhattan Beach. When I’m not on the road, I either ride indoor using Zwift or at the Velo Sports Center at StubHub Center in Carson, California.

I’d love to have you join our cancer awareness group on Strava.com. We have riders from all over the world logging their miles and helping get guys thinking about that important annual prostate cancer test. https://www.strava.com/clubs/CancerJourneysFoundation  We’d love to have you join us.

Alpine Loop Gran Fondo

BTW, if you’re a climber and would like to earn one of our King and Queen of the Mountain jerseys, put the Alpine Loop Gran Fondo on your ride list for the last week in September. Check out the details here – Alpine Loop Gran Fondo.
