Hammies Make You Go Fast
I’m always looking for ways to increase my 500 meter sprint speed. My trainer, Nicole Rijelle, keeps telling me to work on the hamstrings as well at my quads. So, I pulled out my 20 lb. kettle bell and I’m doing two sets of 15 kettle bells swings every morning.
My goal is three sets of 20 swings three times per week. Plus, HITT intervals on my indoor trainer using my Zwift account.
At right is today’s easy Zwift session – I could do more work if I weren’t reading on my Kindle at the same time.
My challenge? I’ll be competing in Masters World Track Cycling Championships here in Los Angeles the second week of October, right after I spend 36 days in my Mazda Miata driving across the country and back for prostate cancer awareness and prevention – https://tourdeusa.events.
I think I better really hit the training between now and then!!
